We will defeat Boko Haram, We have what it takes-Hunters drops bomb

A group of hunters in the southwest part of Nigeria say they have all it takes to defeat the Boko Haram insurgents in the north east should the federal government incorporate them into the war against the terror group.

The hunters under the aegis of Hunters Association of Nigeria said their local charms were capable of demobilizing armored tanks and rifles of any kinds.

The group also offered to protect the army from attack by the insurgents.

The national president of the association, Oba Nureni Ajijola Idris Anabim told Vanguard that the military alone should not be saddled with the responsibility of the fight against Boko Haram but there should be a combined effort from volunteer groups including the local hunters.

Ajibola noted that this would compliment the efforts of the federal government in the fight against the terror group.

The Boko Haram insurgents recently launched an attack killing many soldiers.

The president of the association said the activities of the terror group would not have tarried this long if they had been empowered with vehicles and other logistics.

“I want to tell you that we have charms that can demobilize armoured tanks and rifles of all kinds. Their weapons will just not work. When invited, we can also give the soldiers some protection that would not make them vulnerable to attacks.

The president should just try us and see if we can help. But, I assure you that Nigerians including the army will see how much we can do. There are still charms that can render weapons of war of the insurgents useless and we will be catching them(Book Haram) like chickens.”

“We sympathise with the soldiers on the unnecessary attacks. The way we can contribute our quota is not only by sympathising with them. That’s why we are calling on the president to include us(south west hunters) in the fight against the insurgents”, he noted.
