Elections will not hold if FG keeps deceiving us on New Minimum Wage-Labour declares

The hagglings between the Federal Government and Labour unions over the new minimum wage may take a new dimension, as a section of labour has threatened the 2019 general elections over the matter.

President of United Labour Congress (ULC), Joe Ajaero has stated that if the federal government keeps stalling, and keeps dribbling workers over the minimum wage issue, it may affect the elections.

Ajaero, who spoke Friday morning while fielding questions from a team of Arise Television journalists on The Morning Show, cautioned government not to rescind its decision to transmit the minimum wage bill to the National Assembly on January 23, as promised.

He also described the privatization of the nation’s power sector as the worst of its kind in the world, noting that it lacked transparency and was designed to fail.
