Lagos elections: Vehicles burnt down, two killed as APC factions clash

More than two persons have been killed and thirty-five vehicles razed when some factions of the All Progressives Congress (APC) clashed in Lagos.

It was gathered that the incident took place on Thursday evening at Oto-Awori in Ijanikin area of Lagos.

Some shops in the area were also looted during the free-for-all fight between supporters of a candidate of APC from Ojo contesting in Saturday’s Lagos state House of Assembly election and a member of the party.

It was gathered that the incidence started as the APC candidate identified as Jafo visited the palace of the Oloto of Awori.

There, some youths loyal to a member of the party, one Bibire, tried to stop the APC candidate from going into the palace.

According to the youths, Jafo was responsible for their aspirant’s loss of the ticket.
